Reservations for the Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception (included in the fee) as well as for all optional activities (have to be paid in addition to the fee) must be indicated on the Registration Form.

Name Badge

Each participant will receive a name badge at the registration desk. The badge will  be the official meeting document and should be worn at all times in order to gain entry  into the meeting rooms and the exhibition halls. With a delegate’s badge, participation will be granted into Scientific Symposia, Workshops, Free Communications, What’s New Sessions, Plenary Lectures, Test Yourself Sessions, Satellite Symposia and Meet the Expert Sessions. Neither exhibitors nor accompanying persons are
allowed to attend the scientific sessions. Access will not be possible into any of the congress areas without an official badge. For forgotten badges, a day pass for €20 will be issued. Lost badges will be reissued for a handling and production fee of €30.

Badges are colour coded as follows:
                 Blue:           Delegate
                 Red:            Speaker
                 Yellow:        EADV Board
                 Green:         Exhibitor
                 Orange:       Accompanying Person
                 Pink:            Staff
                 Grey:           Press

Your badge will feature a bar code containing your full address and e-mail. It is your decision whether you wish to disclose these details to exhibitors with a bar code scanner. Vouchers for Courses and Lunch Sessions that have been booked will be handed out with the registration materials. Every delegate is asked to check if all vouchers for services booked are contained within his/her congress materials after receiving them. Later objections will not be accepted. These vouchers allow the delegate to attend Courses and Lunch Sessions that have been booked and paid in addition to the registration fee. The participation in Courses or Lunch Sessions is only possible for participants that have registered for the congress or have paid for a day ticket. Kindly note that lost or forgotten vouchers will not be refunded. 

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation of participation before 20 June 2009, registration fees will be refunded deducting a handling fee of €28, - per person. After that date, there will be no refund whatsoever. Name changes will be charged with €20,- per registration. For the rewriting of invoices €20, - will be charged. Prices of sub-contractors are based on the current tariffs and VAT rate. All prices and details are subject to changes beyond our control. All refunds will be made within 2 months after the end of the congress. Possible bank charges might be deducted.

Confirmation

When appropriate fees have been received, a confirmation/invoice will be sent to participants. This authentification should be presented at the registration desk in Berlin.

Registration, Information & CME Desk

The registration desk will be located in the entrance hall of the ICC Berlin. The CME desk as well as the information desk will be located close to the registration desk.

Certificate of Attendance

All registered attendees both pre-registered and on-site will receive a certificate of attendance issued on-site.

Congress Venue

The Internationales Congress Centrum Berlin (ICC Berlin) ranks among the biggest, most advanced and most successful congress venues in the world. It was built in just four years under the watchful eyes of the architects Ralf Schüler and Ursulina Schüler-Witte. Since its opening the highly versatile communication complex - 320 metres long, 80 metres wide and 40 metres high, - ICC Berlin is one of the most outstanding landmarks of postwar German architecture and the model for many new congress centers all over the world.

Catering Facilities

Complimentary delegate coffee and tea will be served from special tea and coffee points within the exhibition halls during designated times. Delegates must exchange their coffee break vouchers (enclosed in registration documents) to get complimentary refreshments (coffee, tea and water). Kindly note that lost or forgotten vouchers will not be refunded.

Several catering outlets will be available throughout the exhibition area.

Lunch Tickets

Delegates who have purchased lunch tickets in advance when registering will be able to collect their lunch bag within the exhibition halls (for details, please see the voucher).

Lunch Boxes can be picked up in Hall 16 as follows:

Cloakroom and Luggage

The cloakroom is located at the entrance level.

                 Luggage:  2.00 Euro

Electricity

In Germany electricity is supplied at 220V, 50Hz. For some devices from countries abroad converters will be needed.

Information Desk

The information desk is located in the entrance hall.

Insurance

Neither the EADV nor the PCO accept any liability for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the congress participants or by any persons accompanying them, both during the official activities and excursions. Delegates participate in all tours/events at his/ her own risk. Participants are advised to take out insurances against loss, accidents or damage that could be incurred during the congress. Verbal agreements will not be binding unless they are confirmed in writing. Sole place of  jurisdiction is Berlin. German law is applicable.

Internet Access

Wireless internet access for your computer (wifi) is provided throughout the exhibition halls. The network name is “EADV09”, the password is “EADV09”. Computers for accessing the internet are available at the EADV Internet Café which is located in exhibition hall 16. The EADV Internet Café is kindly sponsored by LEO Pharma.

Message Board

There will be a message board there delegates can leave a message close by the registration.

Mobile Phones & Audio and Video

Use of mobile phones as well as audio/video recording is strictly prohibited within the scientific session halls. Please ensure you have your mobile phone switched off when attending a session.
